What HTTP 410 means
RFC 9110 §15.5.11. Signals to clients (and search engines) that the resource is gone for good. Use this instead of 404 when you want crawlers to deindex.
Typical causes
- Permanently deleted page
- Deprecated API endpoint

Resource permanently removed and will not return. Stronger than 404.
